Overview

Looking for bed and breakfast in the beautiful English Lake District? Our lovely guest house has 5 pretty en-suite bedrooms.
The White Rose is in Windermere village and we are only a five minute drive from England's largest lake.
All the other lakes and waters are within an hours' drive from the house.
Our lovely Edwardian guest house dates from 1816 and is in the stunning English Lake District in North West England - which is probably the most beautiful area of England - with its towering mountains, picturesque lakes and the pretty villages.

Poets and artists have taken the area to their hearts and when you walk in the footsteps of William Wordsworth or Beatrix Potter you will realise why!!

The White Rose is close to the centre of Windermere village where you will discover a great selection of restaurants, cafes and typically English pubs. The Lake itself is only a five minute drive away, where you can enjoy a cruise on one of the Lake steamers.
Our delightful en-suite bedrooms - a mix of single, double, triple and quadruple rooms, are all comfortably furnished and have those little extras that make your break here so memorable.
They are warm and welcoming in the colder months, cool and welcoming in the summer months and all have en-suite facilities, a hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, a colour TV, and an alarm clock radio.
A substantial English breakfast is included in the price that is quoted and will be enjoyed in our delightful and sunny breakfast room.
Alternatively, you can enjoy a lighter option.
We have a good selection of touring maps guides of the area and all are available for our guests to borrow.
