Welcome to Plum Tree Cottage. If you want somewhere rather special for your stay in Swanage, then look no further!Built over 200 years ago of Purbeck stone, Plum Tree Cottage is full of charm and character, and retains many of its original features. Plum Tree Cottage has been assessed and awarded four stars by Visit Britain, and is ideal for family holidays, and pets are welcome too.The cottage comfortably sleeps 8 in two double rooms and two twin rooms.The rest of the accommodation comprises three bathrooms/shower rooms, a spacious lounge and separate dining room, a conservatory and a fully fitted kitchen overlooking the beautiful enclosed garden, patio and outside dining area.The cottage has central heating in addition to the wood burning stove located in the lounge, making it cosy all year round. It is comfortably furnished and fully equipped to make your holiday as relaxing and care-free as possible. Utilities, fresh bedding and towels are included in the hire.There is off road parking for one car and no parking restrictions in the road to the front of the cottage. There is also secure bicycle storage available.

Plum Tree Cottage is conveniently located to help you have an enjoyable and relaxing holiday. If you are exhausted from your day out and don't feel like cooking, there are a selection of places to eat virtually on the doorstep.



At the bottom of Bell Street is the Globe Public House which serves food all day and a good selection of beers. Opposite the Globe PH is an Indian restaurant offering eat in and takeaway menus. Turning left at the bottom of Bell Street on the corner of Jubilee Road is the fish and chip shop.



There are a number of restaurants, cafes and pubs to choose from in Swanage town centre. More information is available at the cottage, along with some of our personal recommendations.



At the bottom of Bell Street there is a Post Office/convenience store with a good selection of fruit, vegetables, freshly baked bread and other basic supplies. In the centre of Swanage, next to the Rail and Bus Stations is a large Co-op supermarket. There is also a good butcher in the High Street, selling locally reared produce, and a farmers' market every Tuesday throughout the Summer in the main beach car park.



There are regular buses from the town centre to Bournemouth, Poole, Corfe and Wareham.

The bedrooms are arranged over the first and second floors. Stair gates are fitted to the top of each flight of stairs for children's safety. Please note that being a period cottage, the stairs are quite steep, especially those leading to the second floor. We mention this to help you decide whether or not the cottage will be suitable for your needs.
