Heritage Mews - this five star holiday cottage enjoys an excellent location in a peaceful setting in Stratford-upon-Avon's charming Old Town. The historic town centre, with its beautiful architecture, Shakespeare Houses and Gardens, Royal Shakespeare Company's Courtyard Theatre and many excellent restaurants, pubs, bistros and shops are a short stroll away. The cottage is close to famous Holy Trinity Church, one of England's most beautiful parish churches situated on the banks of the River Avon. You can walk into town along the riverside footpath past an old pedestrian chain ferry and the celebrated Dirty Duck pub with a terrace overlooking the river. There are also delightful riverside walks out into adjacent open Warwickshire countryside. This beautifully presented cottage is personally managed by the owners, who maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and quality. Guests will find a welcome tray and fresh flowers in the cottage on their arrival.Accommodation:Downstairs there is a comfortably furnished sitting/ dining room opening onto the delightful private garden. A Sony Bravia LCD digital television, DVD recorder, VCR and music system are provided for your entertainment. The immaculate kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, washer-dryer and fridge-freezer. Upstairs are two elegant bedrooms - a king-size double and a single; both beds have comfortable pocket-sprung mattresses and quality duvets and bed linen. The pristine white bathroom has an overbath shower.
The sunny, secluded patio garden is furnished with table and chairs - perfect for summer outdoor dining. Planted for all year round colour and interest, it is a delight to look out onto in all seasons. Fully controllable gas central heating, double glazing and luxurious fitted carpets ensure guests' comfort at all times of the year. Private parking: there are two private parking spaces for guests. One is close to the cottage at the end of the garden - convenient for unloading your car. The other is in an adjacent courtyard.Short breaks: Heritage Mews is ideal for an out of season short break - available from November to March (excluding Christmas and New Year). You can stay two nights or longer - arrival day and length of stay are flexible, depending on availability. Last minute short breaks may also be available at other times of year. Please enquire.Weekly holiday rental is available throughout the year - from 3pm Saturday to 10am Saturday.Please visit our website to see availability and details of short break rates.WiFi: a wireless broadband internet connection is available for guests to use free of charge. This is password protected (with WPA encryption) for security. Networks cables and a wireless laptop card are also provided.Baby equipment: a solid beechwood 'Mamas & Papas' cot with full cot linen (quality cotton sheets and blankets) is available on request - at an additional charge of £25 per week or short break. It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:

  • It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
  • If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
  • Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
