Overview
Flat One, 7 Barnoon Terrace is on the ground floor of a double-fronted Victorian house. Our flat has its own front door from the communal porch, and our guests can share the large front garden with its picnic tables and seats. The flat is in the centre of St Ives, so you are near everything, yet it's a quiet area.. The lovely sitting/dining room has a window seat which is ideal for admiring the fabulous view of the harbour and St Ives Bay(see photo). The floor is original pine boards, stripped and varnished, with colourful rugs and a leather sofa. It's quite a large room and also has a small dining table. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric hob and oven, and all the other facilities you would expect except a microwave - we couldn't find a suitable space for one. There is one double bedroom, and a bathroom with an over-bath electric shower. The decor is bright and cheerful (mostly from IKEA, no chintz!). The flat has gas central heating. Parking is available in the pay and display carpark nearby, or we have a garage to rent at Seabirds House 50 yards away. We don't provide bedlinen or towels but I can hire these for you via our cleaning agency if you wish.

Location & area
Flat 1, 7 Barnoon Terrace is in central St Ives, north Cornwall. St Ives is a very beautiful lively town, good for holidays all the year round. There are lots of good restaurants, several bookshops, many art shops and galleries and the famous Tate Gallery and associated Barbara Hepworth house and sculpture garden. Porthmeor beach faces north and gives great surfing, other beaches face south and east and the sea is quieter there. All the beaches are beautiful, clean with firm yellow sand. Our flat is a 5 minute walk from beaches, shops and the harbour. It's also a 5 minute taxi ride from the railway station. There is a good train service from London.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
