Attractions in this delightful town include Britain's only surviving gravity inclined tram way also the only surviving iron trestle and wooded decked pier on the north east coast, perfect for a spot of fishing.
Take a ride on the miniature railway from the beach to the Valley gardens. The Cleveland way runs through the gardens then up to the cliffs and onto filey. Saltburn also has a leisure centre, which offers swimming, badminton, tennis, cricket club and a range of other activities. Saltburn's 18 hole golf course attracts visitors from all over the region,want to fly a kite or if you fancy surfing you will find both for hire on the promenade, if a horse is more your thing there is a stable within 10 mins drive.
You may want to head to the town centre, where a good selection of shops and restaurants are available.
