Overview
This wonderful Large 1st and 2nd floor period apartment is above 'The Apothecary' originally the 18th and 19th century equivalent of a chemist but now a lovely coffee House situated in the Heart of Rye.
Once through its front door you have access on the first floor to :
The 15 x 20 ft lounge. This has original features such as high ceilings,an open fireplace with a flame effect fire, shutters and a wonderful corner window looking down the high street and towards the Romney marsh in the distance. Few people offering accommodation in Rye can offer the space of this unusual apartment .It also contains some more recent features such as a television, free to air viewing, a DVD player with a choice of films and gas fired central heating throughout the apartment!
Directly outside the lounge is a spare shower room and under stairs toilet-ideal if you make use of the fold down beds in the lounge for those extra guests.
The kitchen / dining room is divided into 2 by some of the handmade kitchen cabinets in the middle. There is a six seater dining table and chairs. The kitchen area comes with a dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, microwave, a fridge, freezer, tumble drier, crockery and utensils.
A flight of stairs from the main hallway then leads to the 2nd floor
This is made up of 2 large en suite bedrooms, in fact, they are so nice we have named them!
The Georgian Room has an original 18th century king size 4 poster poster bed, a TV/DVD player and an en suite bathroom (with a bath).

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
