Overview

This lovely 2 bedroom cottage is in Reighton near Filey and it beautiful bay. Filey id halfway between Scarborough and Bridlington on the East Coast of Yorkshire.The East coast of Yorkshire is a beautiful part of the country. There are many coastal villages with fabulous beaches.

Filey is perhaps best described as a mini Whitby or Scarborough. It was like these a Victorian seaside destination and fishing port, and retains its charm as well as possessing 5 miles of beautiful sandy beaches which attract swimmers and surfers alike.

Golf is on offer, as are a little theatre and Filey Museum (built 1696) on Queen Street which offers a complete history of the town. A great destination for birdwatchers on holiday or weekend break, with its nearby nature reserve.

Scarborough has everything you'd expect from an established seaside resort, with two stunning Victorian style bays (North Bay and South Bay) overlooked by majestic Victorian Hotels such as The Grand, a beautiful esplanade, a Sea Life centre, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, loads of pubs, clubs, amusements and restaurants.

You can heave yourself up Oliver's Mount to the majestic Scarborough Castle which lies on the site of an old Iron Age Fort. Scarborough has atmosphere - traditional England, you'll love it.

Bridlington has its own harbour, and you are guaranteed the freshest fish in restaurants and pubs. Check out the museum in the harbour packed with photos and history of Bridlington's fishing community.
