Overview
Centrally located and AA Four Star-rated, Gothic House is the perfect place to stay whether one is in the city for cultural reasons, shopping or business. We are a short distance from the rail and bus stations and also provide secure parking within the courtyard.
We have one double room with a king-sized bed and a twin with two four-foot beds. Each room has its own private bathroom, luxurious bathrobes are provided and tea/coffee-making facilities are available in each room.
Breakfast, served in the elegant dining room, usually between 8am and 9.30am but in keeping with the gentler pace of life found in Gothic House, this can be served later if you wish. Earlier requests for breakfast can of course also be accommodated. The traditional English breakfast is served, using locally sourced products where possible. Other breakfast dishes are also served.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
