Overview
You are assured of a very warm welcome when you arrive at Dorset farm. Situated in the countryside near Launceston, the old capital of Cornwall we have the best of both worlds - great access from the A30, Newquay or Plymouth Airports coupled with the tranquillity of an old Cornish farm.
We have acres of space stretching right down to the River Tamar where you are free to wander at your leisure. In our woods you will discover signs of days gone by in the old Launceston to Bude canal along with a wide variety of wildlife.
So many things to see and do -
Nearby there are lots of fascinating attractions to visit covering everything for garden lovers - (e.g. the Eden Project for one) to surf beaches (Bude / Newquay ).
Because this is a working farm and the exceptional wildlife we are regretfully unable to accommodate pets.

Location & area
We are on the Devon and Cornwall border - with the River Tamar one of our boundaries. We are near the A30 - the major trunk rote into Cornwall from London, the north and east. There are hills and valleys, woods and streams. Abundant wildlife including deer, badgers, a wide variety of birdlife as well as many different wild plants. We run our farm in as environmentally sound a way as we can and are making improvements to the land in the kindest ways we can. Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
