Overview

Quality accomodation in this Keswick bed and breakfast guest house where a friendly welcome awaits you. This traditional Victorian lakeland house, built in 1884, which has been carefully restored to retain its charm and character. Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac just two minutes walk from the market square, restaurants, information centre and bus station, our aim is to provide you with a relaxed and informal home from which to enjoy Keswick and the surrounding lakes.
Our six fully en-suite rooms are smartly decorated, in keeping with the style of the house, with soft furnishings by Dorma and Sanderson. Each room has colour TV, tea/coffee making facilites, individual room controlled central heating and views towards the fells. We have a strict non-smoking policy.
High standards of bedroom and en-suite cleanliness are very important and we are pleased that this has been specifically commented upon in both our AA and Visit Britain annual assessment inspections. It is also a view shared by our many return guests.
To start the day we can offer you a full english breakfast or lighter options and we gladly cater for vegetarians, coeliac and dairy free diets.
We have maps and guide books available for guest use and can share our 25 years walking experience on the fells with you when you are planning your routes to the high, or not so high peaks. Drying facilities and secure bicycle storage is also available.
Whatever the reason for your visit to Keswick we will be happy to recommend places to go and things to see or do in order for you to make the most of your time here at Badgers Wood.

You have a choice of 4 double bedrooms, one twin bedded room and two single rooms all with their own en-suite facilities. They all have views towards the lakeland fells. In each room you will find colour television, hairdryer and alarm clock together with a hospitality tray of biscuits,tea and coffee. Each room has it's own individually controlled central heating thermostat to keep the temperature just how you like it. Cleanliness is our trade mark both in the bedrooms and the en-suite facilities.
