Lazy Dog cottage is a 4-Star self catering cottage where we know you're on holiday so we do the shopping for you. We provide everything you need for a Bucks Fizz breakfast and any other shopping you require. Ideal for short romantic breaks and longer touring holidays, it makes a great base for exploring the stunning local countryside of Wiltshire and Somerset and the nearby city of Bath. Your comfort is our priority so the cottage has one spacious double bedroom , a lovely bathroom with a double-ended bath and walk-in shower for 2. Location & area

The cottage is in a conservation area in one of the oldest parts of Frome. The streets are too narrow for cars so there is no passing traffic, making it surprisingly quiet for its central location. Local shops, cafes, bars and restaurants are a 2-3 minute walk away through the cobbled streets. Around Frome are quiet country villages with traditional English pubs serving good food, set in the beautiful countryside. The city of Bath is 12 miles away, and easily reached by car, bus or train. Closer still are the historic houses of Longleat and Stourhead. Further afield but still within easy reach are the stone circles of Stone Henge and Avebury.

Amenities & services

We've tried to think of everything you might need, so you'll find all sorts of little extras for use during your stay. The kitchen is stocked with your choice of breakfast: smoked salmon and eggs to scramble, or bacon, sausages, eggs, mushrooms and beans for a full English breakfast. Either way you get a bottle of Bucks Fizz, cereals, fruit juice, bread, butter, marmalade and jam, and all your hot drinks. We also leave you with a bowl of fresh fruit and a selection of cheeses. We can stock the freezer with locally home made meals for 2 and we will do any other shopping you need ready for your arrival. In the bathroom you'll find all the toiletries you expect in a good hotel along with egyptian cotton towels and white waffle bathrobes and slippers. We also have a local aromatherapist who will visit the cottage and provide a relaxing aromatherapy massage for weary travellers (£25 per person back neck and shoulders, £35 for full body massage). The sitting room is comfortable and well appointed and has a Bose HiFi as well as TV and DVD. You'll also find a selection of games puzzles and jigsaws. We have compiled a large folder of local attractions and places to visit, as well as information about the nearby restaurants and cafes. In the separate dining room there is a candle chandelier for romantic dining. Upstairs the spacious double bedroom is built into the eaves of the cottage and has a skylight window so you can watch the stars from your bed.
