Overview
Leeford Cottage is nearly 500 years old with all that you would expect from such an aged house - beams, inglenooks, log fires, very prettily decorated rooms and superb views from all sides. Brendon, the village, is tucked away in a hidden valley nestling between the glorious North Devon coast, and Exmoor, famed for it's wild ponies and red deer. It's a haven of peace and tranquillity. In one direction you'll find the historic Doone valley and in another Watersmeet with it's cascading waterfalls.
All rooms have their own private facilities. Each room is very pretty, sporting hand-made patchwork quilts and hand-painted furniture. A guest's lounge with T.V. and a working 30's radio is available. The lounge features a host of beams and an inglenook fireplace with log fire. The cottage is kept spotless and all the rooms are thoroughly serviced daily. A no smoking policy is in force.
Leeford is close to many, many interesting and beautiful places to visit including Lynton and Lynmouth (England's "Little Switzerland"). There is walking, angling and horseriding on the doorstep and if you are an artist, photographer or bird-watcher you'll not have enough hours in the day! The famous resorts of Minehead, Barnstaple and Ilfracombe are in easy reach and the fabulous beaches of Croyde and Woolacombe are under an hour away. Leeford has a lovely garden, orchard and paddock, if you just want to relax and enjoy the ambience of the quiet countryside.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
