This period cottage is one of the only self catering cottages Canterbury has to offer that can truly claim to be in the centre! Tucked away in the heart of historic Canterbury, this two bedroom Victorian Canterbury holiday cottage offers a comfortable and cosy base for your stay in Canterbury. Canterbury Cathedral, The Marlowe Theatre, The Canterbury Tales, The Roman Museum, Canterbury Castle, Royal Museum and Art Gallery are all on your doorstep. Canterbury centre also offers an unrivalled choice of restaurants, bars and shops.
Duck Lane Cottage is tucked away down a small lane in the St Radigund's conservation area, a stone's throw from the cathedral walls.
The Ground Floor consists of a beamed lounge with inglenook fireplace and flame effect fire, soft leather furniture, a flat screen TV, DVD player, free to air Sky , wireless Internet broadband access and a telephone for incoming calls. There are also various games provided for family fun. The well equipped open plan kitchen includes a hob/oven, washing machine, drying machine, microwave, fridge and freezer,as well as ample kitchen utensils for your stay. Off the kitchen is a small dining area with seating for 4.There is also a glazed door leading onto a small decked walled courtyard with a table and 4 chairs for al fresco dining.
A steep staircase leads up to the first floor which comprises of a double bedroom with an antique double bed,dressing table and ample storage space. There is also a small TV/DVD player. The bathroom is also on this floor and is of a good size consisting of a bath with electric shower over, WC and wash hand basin.
The last flight of steep stairs leads up to the second bedroom. This eaves room is furnished with an antique painted French bedroom suite with a double bed and plenty of storage space.
At the end of Duck Lane is St Radigund's pay and display car park. However, the car park is not accessible by car from Duck Lane and therefore there is little passing traffic.
Few holiday cottages Canterbury can offer the convenience and facilities of Duck Lane cottage.
