Location & area
Just a 5 minute walk from the famous Blackpool Tower and a short 2 minute walk to the Winter Gardens means the Hotel Montclair is ideally situated for concerts, nightlife, gigs and conventions.
Blackpool's Grand Theatre plays host to an array of celebrities and shows, dramas and classics. Many pantomimes, ballets and musicals are staged here every year with something for all ages.
The Opera House, part of the Winter Gardens Complex, is a fantastic art deco building which hosts many conferences and conventions as well as musicals, concerts and plays. With famous names like Paul Weller, Joss Stone and G4, loving the intimacy and atmosphere of this infamous theatre complex, there is a star-studded events calendar for 2006.
There are more than 30 nightclubs and fun pubs in the resort catering for every taste from the quiet, local public house to Funny Girls a live drag cabaret show!
For more traditional tastes, the mighty Wurlitzer organ is played everyday in the celebrated Tower Ballroom. Those who wish to, can take their partners for a twirl on the famous dance floor or if preferred, just sit and watch the world dance by, while enjoying a traditional high tea in this magical setting.
Further along the Promende at South Shore, (a short tram ride away) Blackpool Pleasure Beach is home to world class shows. From the thrilling Hot Ice Show, Eclispe (a circus musical where the star of the show flies), to the long running Mystique, a spectacular magic and illusion show, these shows have the most fantastic costumes, music and dancing and are performed by an international award winning cast.
With 6 miles of Promenade, Golden Sands, fantastic attractions and beautiful breathtaking scenery on the doorstep, it's easy to see why Blackpool still remains Britain's number one holiday resort.
Blackpool still has it's three historic piers with fairground rides, slot machine arcades and nightly shows of family fun, and also adult entertainment.
The pleasure beach welcomes over 6.2 million visitors each year with hundreds of rides and attractions for all the family, including the awesome Pepsi Max Big One. However, if your looking for something a touch milder, why not pop down onto the sandy beach where traditional favourites like donkey rides for the children are still popular.
To really get away from it all, try a leisurely stroll through leafy Stanley Park, Blackpool's award-winning horticultural and wildlife treasure. Spot the cute, inquisitive squirrels, take in the showpiece Italian Gardens or hire a boat and float away lazy summer afternoons beside the swans on Stanley Park's boating lake.
Just a short drive away is peaceful market town of Lytham St Anne's. Part of England's Golf Coast, Lytham is known for its amazing golf courses.
The children love a visit to Blackpool Zoo, which provides a home to over 1500 animals from all over the world, as well as its role in the conservation of endangered species.
Travelling along the Promenade, at the heart of Blackpool's famous Golden Mile is the Sea Life Centre, home to more than 40 fascinating displays, allowing close encounters with marvels of marine life and the UK's only collection of poisonous sea snakes.
Nearby is one of Blackpool's oldest attractions, Louis Tussaud's Waxworks, inviting you to meet the famous and the infamous in its many galleries. There are stars of stage and screen, soccer heroes in their own hall of fame and villains galore in the basement chamber of horrors.
Blackpool's world famous illuminations run from 1st September 5th November 06, keeping the resort buzzing with excitement long after other seaside resorts have gone into winter hibernation.
Finally, don't forget Blackpool's fabulous shopping centres and beautiful restaurants.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
