Overview

The village of Uzumlu is one of beauty, set in a valley surrounded by dense pine forests and rugged hillsides. Villa Poppy is situated in an elevated position, surrounded by pine forests with views over the valley. The village of Uzumlu is a short walk away (approx 25 mins) and has managed to maintain all of the natural charm and character of a traditional village whilst having the modern town of Fethiye which is a 20 min drive away. Villa Poppy has 6 bedrooms, 2 with king size wrought iron four poster beds. 2 twin bedded rooms and one single. It also has 3 shower rooms and one bathroom. Private pool and large sun terraces. An open plan lounge, dining are and fully equipped kitchen plus a seperate television room with TV and DVD player plus a selection of films.
New for 2008 - fully equipped games room, with pool table, table football, table tennis table and an assortment of games to suit all ages.

The bustling town and harbour of Fethiye is 18km away from Uzumlu and can be reached by regular dolmus or by car.



The world renown resort of Olu Deniz 'the blue lagoon' with it's sheltered beach and lagoon which is ideal for children and swimming is a short distance away from Fethiye, as is nearby Hisaronu with it's lively nightlife, clubs and restaurants.



Calis beach is 5km from Fethiye and is one of the prominent regions of entertainment, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and stunning sunsets!



The village of Uzumlu has a relaxed village atmosphere where you can experience the real Turkey quiet and unspoilt and is ideal for those looking for a little peace and quiet, breath taking scenery and the enchantment of rural life. Yet with 20 minutes you can be in the cosmopolitan resort of Fethiye or Calis beach.


Uzumlu has shops in order to buy local produce, a post office, restaurants and a wine bar, and a local market on Friday. It is a quiet rural area steeped in history and is an ideal base for exploring the turkish countryside and surrounding area.
