The location of firuz!place is excellent and interesting: Cihangir/Cukurcuma are 'happening' areas in Beyoglu, yet still very authentic. A short wander in one direction will bring you to quiet streets of antique shops and in another to Istanbul Modern contemporary art gallery on the Bosphorus. Istiklal is just up the hill.
