Overview
This pretty little rustic finca (Spanish farm cottage) takes it's name from the Valencian language meaning 'house of the vineyards. ' Located close to the town of Teulada and 10 to 15 minutes away from the beach resort town of Moraira the finca is in an ideal location to enjoy the tranquillity of a rural setting and yet close enough to the cafes and bars of Teulada not to feel too isolated. Also near by is the resort town of Javea and the bustling town of Benissa with it's historic church and palm shaded squares bordered by numerous cafes and bars.
This is a property with a flavour of the real Spain and is rich in rustic charm enjoying spectacular views towards the Montgo and mountains of the Gata Gorge. The finca has a swimming pool and pretty tropical gardens which look out towards the town of Teulada over the vineyards which surround the finca. C'an las vinyeras can be found at the end of a private track which opens out to the main parking area. As you enter the finca you will step into another world where life is lived at a much slower pace. You enter a small reception area decorated in the traditional style and pass through an arch to the main living room and lounge.
The main sitting room is constructed with traditional beams and has a high ceiling with a minstrel's gallery (formerly an old hay loft). The room is decorated with rustic items and has tasteful lamps and furnishings which reflect the owners eclectic taste. The room has a large fireplace with wood burner and traditional quarry stone floor tiles. There are several comfortable sofas, coffee tables and a dining table to seat 6 at the end of the room which also leads on to a typical Spanish farm house kitchen. There is a television and DVD player as well as selection of interesting books and cultural magazines.
French doors open out to a pretty walled courtyard which is shaded by a large leafy apricot tree. A rustic farmhouse table and chairs is set out in the dappled shade of the tree making it the perfect place to dine alfresco and enjoy the unique atmosphere of C'an las vinyeras. This truly is a little corner of paradise where the scent of honeysuckle and Jasmine is carried on the warm Spanish breeze.
The main terrace has a barbeque area and a vine shaded path which leads off to a hidden secret garden. Following down the path known as the 'Monk's Walk' and through the tropical gardens you will find a great little private swimming pool and sun terrace. A little gate at the end of the garden gives a tantalising glimpse through to the finca's vineyard which has now been replanted with Olive and Almond trees. With it's enchanting secret gardens and rural history it is not an exaggeration to say that there is something very special about the magical setting of this pretty little finca hidden amongst the vineyards of Teulada.
The property is set out on one level and does have wheel chair access although it has not been especially adapted for the disabled. Unlike many Spanish villas the natural layout of the property means that it may be suitable for the elderly and the infirm as well as for families with young children.
There are three double bedrooms which all have air conditioning. Each bedroom has a double bed and ample wardrobe space and is decorated in the same rustic style which gives the finca it's unique feel. All the bedrooms are a good size and have views over the vineyards and towards the mountains.

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
