Overview

Casa Ribalta is over 200 years old with high beamed ceilings downstairs in the living room and dining room.It has been tastefully decorated and furnished to suit the more modern European holiday makers and the kitchen has everything required for easy homecooking(microwave, dishwasher etc etc). Airconditioning is available upstairs on the first floor and fans have been fitted in each bedroom.The pool is very secluded and set in a patio with sunloungers provided, and a barbeque range area is available on a lower separate patio.A spacious sun terrace is also available on the top of the house with patio furniture available there too.All linen is provided within the rental price, although beach towels are not provided.The house is in an extraordinarily quiet part of the village and the contrast during the summer fiesta week (3rd week of August) is striking when the local musicians play, the fireworks are displayed and the ceremonies take place it is a wonderful spectacle and experience for anyone who wishes to witness first hand the Spanish passion for life.La Font is set at the foothills of the mountains looking across the orange groves and is set back from the closest towns of Oliva and Gandia which are both a short drive away.Valencia is a 70 km drive or a 40 minute train journey from Gandia.There are several steps and stairways in the house which make the property unsuitable for the disabled or those with mobility difficulties. If you would like more details on this please contact us.Children are very welcome - there is a cot available for babies.There are two mountain bikes available for guests' use as well as a TV with satellite, DVD, CD player and lots of books. Location & area

La Font D'En Carros is a village of approximately 1600 Spanish people and a few British people, some of whom have lived there for several years. It has a variety of bars and cafes, banks, pharmacist, large public swimming pool and BBQ area on the outskirts.

As we use the house ourselves for breaks during the year, the house is well equipped with all the usual items you might need during your stay. The linen is all good quality and a full change is available to you as necessary. Apart from a visit twice a week from Julia who keeps the pool sparkling, the house is for your sole use and is very private.
