Overview

Nerja lies at the foot of the mountains at the eastern end of the Costa del Sol, just 45 minutes from Malaga. Airport, along the new main highway. Nerja’s centrepiece is the Balcon de Europa, a palm promenade with superb views of the coastline. There are no modern high rise developments to mar Nerja’s character. Within the town itself, there is a handful of small sandy coves and the main Burriana Beach is only 5 min walk from the apartment (excellent sea view from apartment balcony). The town centre is only 10 minutes walk away and there are a large variety of lovely restaurants and bars (including Tapas Bars).

Location & area

Nerja is a lovely town nestling between the majestic Sierra Almijara & the Mediterranean.It boasts 7 beaches, the biggest, Burriana, has numerous beachside restaurants, the most famous is Ayos where you can watch huge paellas being cooked over an open wood fire.The centre of the town is the lovely 'Balcon de Europa' where you can sit & watch the world go by. There are numerous excellent restaurants, bars, & shops all around the town.



Whether you are looking for a quiet away from it all holiday or an activity holiday Nerja has something for everyone. Swimming, windsurfing, diving, walking, hiking, horseriding, etc. are all available locally. Golf is available at Baviera Golf, 15 minutes away. In the winter the ski resorts of the Sierra Nevada are less than 2 hours away.

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
