Overview

Finca al-manzilis an extensive property on the slopes of La Sierra de Montanchez, a very special location within 40kms of 3 world heritage towns Caceres,Trujillo and Merida. The cortijo is set in the middle of the property ensuring complete peace,uninterrupted views over the olive groves and mountain scenery. There are 3 bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms, 2 open on to the lovely porch with plenty of seating for admiring the views. The sitting room is very spacious with double height ceiling.Very well equipped kitchen. Lots of outside terraces for eating outside on the long warm nights in summer. The pool is set into the natural rocks of the sierra with lots of space and a seperate terrace for extra good view of the countryside. From the finca the hiking and walking in the mountain is splendid, we also have horses for experienced riders and bikes to rent. One walk winds its way through lovely scenery right up to the Moorish castle of Montanchez,also famous for jamon. There are endless day excursions to ancient villages and towns,lakes and mountains, all wonderfully preserved and unspoilt. Extremadura really is Spain's last secret.The cortijo is for rent by the week for exclusive use and also by room on b.andb. basis when not rented for min.of 2 nights @ 65€ per night.
