Overview

This two bedroom apartment on a new holiday complex is situated in the coastal village of Playa Honda on the Mar Menor - Spain and only 50yds from the sandy beach. It has two twin bedded bedrooms, both with sea views, a lounge with a double sofa bed, a luxury bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and laundry area with everything you could need for a self catering holiday. The lounge leads out to a spacious patio with views of the Mar Menor.

Location & area

The Mar Menor retains a Spanish way of life now missing from some other areas. The village of Playa Honda is a small community on the SE Mediterranean coast of Spain in the Province of Murcia. It has a supermarket, bakery, pharmacy and restaurants all within walking distance. A pleasant stroll along the beach brings you to Camping La Manga which has its own beach bar and excellent, reasonably priced restaurant. There are many other bars and restaurants only a short drive away. A bus service runs from Cartegena to La Manga stopping at various places along the way including Playa Honda. The Mar Menor is also famous for the black mud. People flock to this area because the black mud is said to help some skin conditions and releive pain from rheumatism, arthritis and many other ailments

Leading from the lounge is a patio with patio set and sun loungers and sea views. The main bedroom has a sea view and is furnished with twin beds, chest of drawers and spacious fitted wardrobes. The second bedroom is similarly equipped but with a ceiling fan. This also has a sea view. The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, toilet, illuminated vanity unit and bidet. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full sized cooker and electric hob, a large fridge freezer, washing machine and microwave oven. Leading from the kitchen is a patio/laundry /storage area.
