La Manga means sleeve in Spanish and is an appropriate name for this narrow strip of land, 22 kms long, which nestles between two seas; the Mediterranean and the Mar Menor (the Little Sea).


The Mar Menor is an immense lake of warm, tranquil salt water, noted for its therapeutic properties.
