Overview

This pretty village house, sited just above the El Anon restaurant,has an open-plan ground floor consisting of sitting room, dining room, kitchen and breakfast room overlooking the garden and pool (6+ x 3x 1.50 m). Upstairs there is a double bedroom plus its own bathroom leading onto a terrace looking over the countryside to Sierras Crestellina and Bermeja and the Ronda mountains, another bathroom and a twin bedroom leading onto a balcony with views up to the castle keep and down to the rock of Gibraltar.

Jimena is one of the spectacular "white villages" in the foothills of the Ronda mountains. It is on the edge of the scenic natural park of Alcornocales, one of the last large areas of unspoilt country in Europe which is famous for its flora and fauna. Casa Maria is conveniently situated a few hundred yards above the best restaurant in town and close under the Romano-Moorish castle. It is close to the shops, restaurants and tapas bars with which Jimena is well supplied. Not only is it within easy reach of many of the picturesque and historic villages and towns of Andalusia but it is sufficiently close to the coast to enjoy the sea, sailing, whale and dolphin watching, and the golf courses and water parks found there.
