Overview

The property is situated in the delightful, 7 year old development of Fuentemar, just 5 minutes stroll to the vast, uncrowded sandy beach of Vera Playa, with its bars and restaurants. A short walk along the promenade is the fishing town of Garrucha, renowned for its seafood restaurants, shops and safe, sandy beach, beyond which is the resort of Mojacar, with 7km of sandy beaches, and all the facilities and nightlife o?ne would expect of a Spanish beach resort.

Fuentemar has 2 swimming pools plus a children's splash pool. A well stocked supermarket, shops, bars and restaurants are all within 1-2 minutes walk.

The property is well furnished and equipped, with ceiling fans in all rooms, a sheltered terrace for meals etc, and a roof solarium for uninterrupted sun, and views of the mountains.

The area enjoys 320 days of sunshine a year, and Vera Playa is a 150metres wide, 7 km long, blue-flag beach. A water park is 5 minutes away, and other attractions include the old mountainside village of Mojacar Pueblo, with its Roman springs, quaint winding streets and alleyways with shops, cafes and restaurants, and stunning views across the 'campo' to the mountains beyond. Worthwhile excursions include 'Mini-Hollywood', in the Sierra Nevadas, home of the spaghetti westerns, and the city of Granada, with the fabulous Alhambra, and other sites of interest. Guadix, still home to cave dwellers, is another 'must-see'.

Three airports ensure easy access, the nearest being Almeria, 50min. away, whilst Murcia and Alicante are 1 1/2-2 hours.
