Overview

Set in vast private grounds and gardens, entered through electronic gates, this villa has been described by guests as a self-contained theme park and the perfect family rental.
The interior is comfortably furnished throughout. and sleeps up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms (2 double, one twin). It benefits from 2 bathrooms (one full, one en-suite) a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, full oven, hob, coffeee maker, etc, lounge with SAT TV/DVD and a log fireplace. All rooms have ceiling fans.
Immediately outside is a sun trap patio with gas BBQ, chess/dining table and an attractive arched terrace with climbing bougainvillea.-a lovely spot to take breakfast enjoying the stunning mountain views.
Around the 10m private swimming pool, there are loungers, 2 dining areas, one under a pagoda, close to the large bbq and full hob for al fresco catering. Whilst waiting for the food to cook, you can enjoy gin and tonic sitting at the poolside bar.-You are welcome to add a slice of lemon from the mature lemon tree nearby. The bar is complete with fridge and pumps for draught beer and wine (Ordered on request.) Beyond the table-tennis table, steps lead to a lawned area with badminton court and hammock, further gardens, patio and boules pitch.

Location & area

Carratraca is the gateway to the area known as the Andalucian Lake District. Only 40min drive from Malaga airport, 1hr from Mabella, Benalmadena, Torremolinos and the Costa del Sol resorts, Casa Elanor offers you a completely different world- the real Spain. A 10min walk takes you into Carratraca -a classic white village, but unusually it has a famous spa baths and an exclusive Ritz hotel and an ancient bullring now used for concerts. A Parador restaurant opens at weekends serving excellent reasonably priced meals, while the local bar/restaurants offer 4 course lunches from 6euros. Within 10 minutes drive of the villa you will find beautiful turquoise lakes surrounded by pine trees where you can swim, fish and hire pedalos or canoes. 15 min takes you to El Chorro- a world famous climbing gorge and a mountain bike centre. If you wish to explore- historic Rhonda is 1hr away, Granada 90min, Sevilla 2hrs or Torremolinos (if you must!) is 45min away.
