Location & area

The apartment is a 5 minute walk down to the beach; the marina is beautiful with many yachts and boats, a nice stroll along the beach front is highly recommended. There is a busy market on a Friday from 10 am till 2 pm which is up by the train station. The train station is a 10 minute stroll from 402, you can visit Malaga, Torremolinos and Fuengirola by train. You can go on a coach trip (approx 1 ½ hours) to Gibraltar cost about 12 Euros and get cheap fags and booze. There are ample drinking bars, check out the Galaxy Bar for great Food, Drink and Hospitality, cabaret bars and restaurants only a minute away from the apartment. It is on the 4th floor with a pool view, which is also a sea view and there is a mountain view.



One of the most attractive and important features for the tourist in Benalmadena is the sandy beaches. The coast has 9km of beaches, which are extremely clean and safe, so you can spend hours each day relaxing on the beach, enjoying the sea and trying the many water sports on offer, which can be so much fun for the family during the summer months. If you feel like a walk the promenade is 2km long and a delightful stroll either by day or night, stretching to Torremolinos and through the Marina, which is a main attraction of Benalmadena Costa with its bars, restaurants, shops and of course the many boats and yachts.



Another attractive part of Benalmadena Costa, and possibly the most popular and famous, is the Marina with its cosmopolitan feel and upper class ambiance. It is an area of many restaurants, bars, nightclubs and shops, attracting a wide range of nationalities. By both day and night the area is always buzzing with life so you will no doubt find something to entertain you, whether you visit the bars or simply take a stroll and admire the many boats and yachts moored on their berths.



For lovers of the world below the waves there are several options on the coast. One is the Sea Life Centre, an indoor aquarium with a walk-through glass tunnel, where you can watch the sharks swim menacingly above your head. Also worth a visit is Selwo Marina, where you can watch dolphins and sea lions perform in regular shows. There is also a penguinarium at the marina where arctic conditions are realistically reproduced to make these amusing creatures feel right at home.



For both the young and young at heart there is Tivoli world Theme park, which is well worth a visit with its many fairground attractions. It is a great way to spend an evening, with plenty of fun for all the family in an environment of fountains, gardens, themed bars and restaurants. There is the western square, showing spectacular shows and funny games in authentic reproductions of a far Western Town. Experience the colours and the strength of Andalusian flamenco and Spanish Folklore. There is also a theatre showing a wide choice of live music, folklore events, ballets, children's specials and comedy.
