This is your property ?
Casa Mirador, perched on a hill in a quiet cul-de-sac, has spectacular sea views from every room. Villa, terraces, gardens and private heated pool (8x4m) are all not overlooked. Totally refurbished for 2008 to a high standard, it offers spacious accommodation over 2 floors, with a large living room on each floor, and can sleep a further 2 people using the sofa bed. The upper floor L-shaped living room gives onto terraces providing sun and shade and overlooks the pool, the Med and the Illes Medes. The lower level living room gives onto the pool area.
The pool is heated with 80% renewable energy, providing a consistent comfortable 27C water temperatur if required, and extending the usual swimming season from 3 to 7 Months from April to end October.
Free Internet access, satellite TV DVD, table tennis, toys.
All year round, within a few mins drive of the villa you can enjoy the rugged coastline, unspoilt fishing villages and beaches - Sa Riera, Sa Tuna, Tamariu, Llafranch, Calella; medieval villages and towns-Pals, Peratallada. Begur, only 5 mins drive away has characterful shops, cafes, restaurants. Nearby activities: golf, diving, sailing, water sports, tennis, horse riding, walks, go-karting and cycling.
Sa Riera 5 mins drive, about 20 mins on foot (longer on way back) with cafes, restaurants, supermarket and shop. Sa Tuna, Tamariu, Llafranch, Calella, Aiguablava, Aiguafreda - all within 10-15 mins drive with waterfront restaurants, cafes and shops, and each with their own distinctive character. Well-maintained coastal path accessible from all these beaches with stunning scenery.
Golf3 well-known golf courses can be reached within a 10 min drive from the villa, in the Pals area: a championship course at Serres de Pals, Pals Golf Club with its course running parallel to Pals beach, and Emporda. A further 6 courses are also easily accessible slightly farther away. The Costa Brava has recently won an award for the Best Emerging Golf Destination worldwide by IAGTO. The local climate makes the area conducive to playing golf all year round, with perhaps spring, autumn and winter being particularly pleasant.
TravelThere are 3 airports nearby served by Ryanair, Easyjet and during the summer charter airlines: Girona 45 mins approx. Barcelona 1' hours approx. Perpignan 1' hours approx. In early April, during the school Easter holidays, our extended family decided to rent a villa in Catalonia for our first visit to Spain. This villa was Casa Mirador near the ancient hill town of Begur. We couldn't have chosen better. One look at the view from any of the windows showed a panorama of blue and greensky, the Mediterranean, and those rounded pine trees you find in that climate.
There were eight of us, and using all of the five bedrooms, we were able to accommodate our doubles & singles which we required. There were 3 bathrooms, again necessary for large mixed groups. The house was huge, with plenty of space to spread out and have a quiet time if you wanted. We enjoyed the music system, with a large choice of cds, and books to read. Games and toys in the lower living room provided hours of fun for our 4 year old grandson. The kitchen was roomy enough and certainly well equipped. The balcony overlooking the pool was used daily, and although it was early in the year, the younger members in the group took a dip. They also played table tennis in the garage.
We managed to squeeze in a lot of sightseeing between us, including: Girona, Barcelona, 3 beaches, 2 other old hill towns (Pals & Peratellada), and several trips to La Bisbal to buy pottery. Even without the car, it's a lovely area for walking, also, shopping and the park in Begur is within reach. An experience I am assured not to be missed (we baby-sat), was the late evening fiesta on Maundy Thursday in nearby Verges of the Festival of the Dead, attracting over a thousand visitors.
We definitely will return to Casa Miradora place to relax and enjoy living! S Webb, April 2009
We loved being in your house. It is beautiful and very comfortable with a splendid view. The consequent furnishing in white and blue gives a mediterranean feeling. The beds are super, we all slept very well. The kids loved the playstation and all the board games they found in the closet. But most of all they loved the pool. The water in the pool was at a very fine temperature! Our kids and my husband love to swim but the weather at the end of April is not alway reliable so a heated pool was one of our demands. We had a wonderfull week in your house and I want to thank you for that. We did also appreciate a lot the extensive welcome packet you send us by post and the touristic information that is available in the house. Same for the 'survival packet' that welcomes you on arrival. Vacation really does start with those little things! E Schmetz, April 2009
Casa Mirador is a stunning property with an equally amazing view to match. It is especially well located for the nearby Sa Riera which is one of the nicest beaches on the coast and the upmarket old town of Begur. Above all, the ready advice and help of the owners was second to none.
M Sproat, September 2008
This is a lovely villa in a lovely location, with a fantastic view of sea and close to some lovely beaches and towns. We really enjoyed our time there. K. Alvarez, July 2008

Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
