Overview
This charming designer 1 bedroom apartment of 58 square meters ( some 580 square feet approximately) is conveniently located in the historic city centre and has been recently renovated keeping the rustic charm of wooden beams mixed with all modern conveniences such as air conditioning and central heating.
It's composed of a spacious livingroom ( of 20 meters, formerly 2 rooms ) comprising 2 spaces, the dining area with capacity for up to 4 people and
the lounge area, where there is a large comfortable sofa and a double sofa bed. The large kitchen is fully fitted and
equipped with all modern conveniences ( like a dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, coffee and juice makers or a microwave); the bathroom benefits from full modernization with an en suite bath and a heated towel rail
and the double bedroom is exterior and decorated in natural rustic style and has a double bed. This holiday apartment also has a balcony overlooking
a treelined cobbled street.
It has air conditioning, central heating and ceiling fans
Bed linen and towels are provided. A travel cot can be rented upon
request. A collection of 31 dvds is also provided.
Its best advantage, though, is its location, as it's in a 5 minute
walk from the train station taking you directly to the airport: Estacio de Franca( journey takes 33min.) and from 2 metro stops from 2 different
lines: Arc de Triomf( red line) and JaumeI( yellow one). There are also
several buses and the main bus station in town( Estacio del Nord) is
in a 10min. walk. If you came with a car, there's a car parking at the end of the street which costs 50/week
The apartment is located in the upcoming and trendiest area in town right now,
the Born, with its museums ( i.e. Picasso Museum), charming squares with nice terraces, narrow streets, innovative restaurants, lively bars
and cute art galleries and designer shops, but the street is very calm.
Touristic sites in a 5 minute walk are the Gothic Quarter, the Cathedral, the modernist building of Palace of Music, the monument of Arc de Triomf, Picasso Museum, the most important parc in town with the Zoo within ( Parc Ciutadella), the 2nd oldest market in town to buy fresh products and the ruins of Born.
In 10 minute walk you find the beach ( Barceloneta), the Port, the 2 most important shopping streets in town, the oldest market in town ( Boqueria) and the most famous avenue ( Ramblas)

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
