Just left at the bottom of the Rambla, you find this dynamic neighbourhood of the Raval, this being it´s original medieval name referring to the part of the city outside the walls. It is just 5 minutes walk from the Rambla and the sea, and 2 minutes from the nearest metro. Now one Barcelona´s liveliest hot spots during the day and the evening, here visitors can enjoy among other sights Gaudi´s Palau Güell, a real Modernista landmark, the giant MACBA - the impressive Contemporary Art Museum, it´s own bustling Sunday market and a host of multicultural restaurants and cool bars. It really is one of the most interesting places to stay
