Overview
The village offers many good restaurants and bars. There are shops on almost every street selling everything you could need to make your holiday complete (even a tiny British shop for those essential tea-bags). There are also banks and an internet cafe within the village. Ideally, the recently rebuilt swimming pool is less than a 5 minute walk from the house.
In the house there are comprehensive guidebooks and information on all the attractions that Andalucia has to offer. These include seasonal and daily opening times of places like the Alhambra Palace in Granada (photograph below) and the Sea Life centre in Benalmadina. Cordoba (100 miles), Granada (45 miles) and the busy Costa del Sol resorts are a short drive away, and Gibraltar (115 miles) is a quick and easy drive along the autovia.
The Sierra Nevada mountains are only an hour away and can be seen as a glorious backdrop to Granada, visit in the winter and early spring for a snowball fight in the sunshine or in late spring early summer for breathtaking views and mountain flowers - an attraction at any time of the year.
Visit Jerez and be educated in the bodegas where sherry is still made today in the traditional way by household names like Gonzalez Byass, Sandeman & Harveys (and learn that there's more to do with it than putting it in your Christmas trifle!).
All bed linen, bath and hand towels are included in the price. There are seasonal weight duvets for autumn through to spring, and cool sheets for summer. There are heaters in every room if required and a variety of fans for the summer.
In the house there is a vast selection of CDs & DVDs for your use with English and Spanish TV channels along with novels and guide books, board games and jigsaws, and we provide that all-important map of the village too. In addition to the village internet cafe, we can also arrange occasional internet access at our home should you require to keep in touch with family or to book tickets (e.g. for the Alhambra Palace which gets very busy in summer).

Casa Lindo is in the essentially Spanish area of Villanueva del Trabuco.
The village is 5 kilometers from the A92M autovia, ideally located to tour Andalucia and see the picturesque white villages of southern Spain

Amenities & services
The house itself comprises three floors. There is a ground floor lounge (adjacent photograph) with satellite TV (receiving English channels), DVD & CD players. This leads through to a fully fitted kitchen diner with microwave, oven and hob. Just outside the kitchen door is a handy cloakroom with toilet and wash basin.
Upstairs the double bedroom (photograph below) is at the front of the house with views over the village and the twin room has full sized twin beds.
On up to the main bathroom with overbath shower. The washing machine is situated in the bathroom and there are clothes drying facilities on the sun terrace. An iron and ironing board are close at hand.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
