Herons Place is an excellent base for outdoor pursuits, including hiking, several spas/waterparks nearby, whitewater rafting, cycling, horse riding, fishing, kayaking and skiing at Golte, Velika Planina, Krvavec, Rogla.

The television receives English channels via satellite and there are hundreds of DVDs and CDs of a wide variety for all members of the family to enjoy.
You should be welcomed and shown to the property by an English speaking Dutch resident. He will show you around the house give you the use of a mobile phone to call him in case of any emergency.
During winter, the primary source of heating is a large built in wood burning stove and a separate cast iron wood stove in the lounge. All the wood is provided. The bathrooms have heaters and there are also some free standing electric heaters. The stairs to the upstairs are traditional chalet style with open wooden treads and two bannisters. They may not be suitable for very young children or very elderly/infirm people.
