Situated just 4km outside of Funchal town centre, it is perfectly located for eating out, shopping, and sight seeing. Alternatively, relax by the infinity pool and admire the breath taking views over the Atlantic Ocean.

Location & area

Vila Formosa is approximately 4km outside of the town centre, off Estrada Monumental which is often referred to as the "Hotel Zone." One of the great advantages of being in the Hotel Zone is that it is flat! Estrada Monumental has many shops, bars, cafes and restaurants so there is plenty to do and see if you wish to walk into the Old Town. The apartment is also a 5 minute walk from a taxi rank and major shopping centre.

The whole apartment is newly furnished and comprises of a double sofa, arm chair, dinner table that will seat 4 comfortably, and coffee & lamp tables.



The TV is wired for cable, giving several English speaking channels including BBC World, and there is an ethernet cable to provide fast internet access free of charge.



A Sony Playstation 2 is included which doubles up as a DVD player. There is also a sound system that can be plugged into your laptop should you wish to listen to music or radio stations via your computer.



The swimming pool is an infinity pool, with spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean. This is the "jewel in the Vila Formosa" crown, providing one of the most amazing sunbathing & swimming surroundings you could wish for. All pool furniture, sun beds, tables & chairs, are provided.



In the gym you'll find pretty much everything you would need to keep in tone, treadmill, spin-bike, cross trainer, multi-gym resistance machine, free weights, bench, floor mats, etc,... not to mention a great view whilst you are working out!



Downstairs there are male and female toilet and shower facilities, handy for the pool too, sauna & outdoor Jacuzzi.
