Your holiday home with Free 24 hour hi speed broadband connection is in one of THE most historic areas of the city, Belém offers almost too much - both of Lisbon's World Heritage Sites, Jerónimos Monastery and the Torre de Belém, the Presidents palace with guardsmen decked out in 19th C' uniforms, a unique coach museum and a world class maritime museum. There is the famous Pasteis de Belém cafe, a whole row of interesting restaurants set in 16th C' buildings, the Belém Cultural centre with its exhibitions and concerts, the planetarium, and botanical gardens. The Tagus river runs under the bridge that looks like the Golden gate presided over by the Christ the King statue, Rio de Janeiro has a look-alike, you might catch a glimpse of the QE2 or the QM2 or one of the many cruise ships that sail out to sea passed your back yard. Sail boats and regattas leave and return to the nearby marinas and the electric train line takes you along the rivers edge to Estoril and its casino, Cascais that picturesque fishing village or just to the many wide sandy beaches of the Portuguese Riviera. Travel to the centre quickly and easily by train, tram, bus or taxi. This original 19th C' little town villa is full of charm with beamed ceilings, original shuttered windows, marble fittings and polished terracotta floors tiles, it happily sleeps 6 in its 3 double bedrooms.

Amenities & services
3 NIGHT STAY MINIMUM. RATES QUOTED 1-2 PEOPLE. A non returnable deposit of 30% required to secure booking, full payment due 8 weeks before arrival. When staying longer than 7 days a 10% reduction will be applied, 20% when longer than a month. For last minute bookings, stays of 3 nights & reservations less than one month in advance will have to be paid immediately in full. Rates are all inclusive, there are not additional fees for utilities, cleaning or taxes. Maid service once a week, bed linen and towels changed weekly. Security deposit against breakages is 100, returned on departure. Highchair, cot and baby linen if required. Extra charge for firewood if open fire required. Check-in after 4pm, check-out before 10am. We can be flexible about arrival time if you send us your travel schedule well in advance. Changeover day flexible. Consider purchasing travel insurance for protect. Notes The villa is on ground level with only one of the bedrooms up a flight of inside stairs making it very suitable for seniors or people with mobility problems. East facing to the street there is however a private sunny atrium with patio table, chairs and parasol for outdoor living. Furnished with a mixture of antique pieces plus comfortable beds and seating, the villa boasts all the modern amenities to make your stay comfortable. Transport is very easy with the modern tram and buses to the centre of the city from stops just outside the villa. A car is definitely not necessary, but street parking, and nearby car-park are free, if you wish to take advantage of villas great setting with its easy access that avoids the inner city traffic to the main roads South over the bridge, the Portuguese Riviera, Sintra and beyond. Sr Filip the owner of the restaurant in-front who speaks English is on hand if you need any help in an emergency.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
