Overview

Lagos has it all. From a historical perspective, it is one of the most ancient settlements in the Algarve, founded by the Phoenicians, who were attracted to its superb natural harbour. The old part of the town, where the original walls of the town remain, has been beautifully restored with its cobbled streets and flower decked squares.
The place attracts a wide spectrum of visitors - from backpackers to honeymooners.
There is a new Marina, just a 5 minute walk from this apartment, with a wide choice of restaurants, snack bars, shops etc.
To the west of Lagos there is an extraordinary number of coves, sheltered by cliffs with tunnels and grottoes.
There are a number of top international golf courses on the doorstep - Palmares, Penina and Boa Vista are all within close proximity.

Short 10 minutes walk from Meia Praia's stunning 4km coast of white sandy beach and crystal blue waters. Also, conveniently located for the stylish Lagos marina, and central Lagos Town. Lagos Marina comprises a wide choice of restaurants, snack bars, shops and boats. The condominium in Meia Praia is no more than an hour transfer time from the airport towards the south western side of the Algarve.



Exploring and the western Algarve is less intensely developed than the eastern part.
An excursion or two into the hills of Sierra de Monchique is highly recommended, offering splendid views to both South and West coasts and a circuit can be done to return by the West coast, which itself is something completely different, with vast expanses of beach open to the Atlantic rollers and hardly any people. Excellent for beach games and walking.
