Location & area

Our cosy holiday cottage is situated in a peaceful forested valley 20 kms north of the central Portuguese town of Tomar. It contains a double bedroom, bathroom and a kitchen/living room which also has a sofa bed. It has all modern facilities and is ideal for 2/3 people. The cottage is sited on our 7 acre farm, which is part of a hamlet called Hortas.

The small market town of Cabaços is 5 minutes drive away and there are many historic sites and excellent shopping areas within an hours drive.

The surrounding area is perfect for walking, cycling, horse riding, and the nearby river Zezere offers swimming & other water sports. The Atlantic coast with fabulous beaches is just over an hour's drive away, but the cottage also has a secluded sheltered garden, for days of relaxing at home in the sun.

This is the name we have given to the holiday cottage, which was converted from a small barn at the end of 2005.t
