Overview

Casa Brigitte is a 200-year-old cottage in Figueiró dos Vinhos, renovated true to traditional style and with much loving care, beautifully situated within our country estate, the Quinta do Sobral, amidst vineyards and cork oaks, peaceful, at the end of a cul-de-sac, even so within the village, with splendid views on the valley.
A spacious courtyard with a barbecue and a big garden with comfortable chairs and tables in the shade of 10 magnificent cedars are reserved exclusively for our guests.
The house is licensed as a “Casa de Campo” by Portugal’s Rural Tourism.
Quinta do Sobral's total area may be used by our guests!
Figueiro dos Vinhos, nestling picturesquely in the hilly country, is an enchanting old village with all facilities well worth visiting, being in an area of exceptional natural beauty and at the same time within the „Historic Triangle“ of Portugal. Several UNESCO World Heritage sites alone can be visited in a leisurely manner, e.g. Batalha, Alcobaça or Tomar, but also Coimbra, Conímbriga, Marvão or the Schist villages of Pinhal. And Fatima, the world-famous place of pilgrimage, is close...An ideal starting-point for excursions and for sightseeing, but all the same for sporting activities, fishing, bathing, hiking, leisure and much more!

Casa Brigitte is situated very peacefully within our country estate at the end of a cul-de-sac, even though within the village of Figueiró dos Vinhos, close to all shopping facilities, restaurants and all services.

Figueiró dos Vinhos is a pleasant village worth to be visited. Its history can be traced back at least to the 12th century. Historic buildings, cafés, shops and flower-bedecked parks shape the appearance. Besides, the village lies in an area of exceptional natural beauty and at the same time within the „Historic Triangle“ of Portugal.



On the other hand, the unspoilt nature with its mountains, valleys and its numerous rivers offers various opportunities for outdoor activities and for leisure.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:

  • It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
  • If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
  • Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
