Overlooking the Algarve coastline at the end of a 900m access road, Monte Serra is quiet and safe for children. No traffic, except yourself, the neighbour or the shepherd and his flock. Also the pool is walled. (4p); the Casinha, a cottage with aircon for summer siestas and a twin-faced fireplace for cooler nights to enjoy the fire from an armchair or while reading in bed. Snug for 2!
