What a view! Monte Serra straddling a ridge overlooks the seaboard basking in the sun. There is no traffic but yourself, the neighbour and the shepherd with his flock. The 30 acres of centuries old trees ensure your peace and privacy. Choose between nearby beaches, biking tracks, tennis courts, golf courses, the scenic Guadiana riverbanks, the Ria Formosa bird sanctuary and the old town of Tavira where country cooking or more sophisticated recipes are served at palatable prices.
Rustic, the Casinha charms with touches of luxury: air-con cools summer siestas and a see-through fireplace is lovely on chilly winter nights either from an armchair or while reading in bed. Utter intimacy for 2!
Stroll over the grounds, pick a grapefruit in the orange grove and, at night, enjoy starry skies and perfume of dama da noite, a flower that awakes when the sun has set. Pleasant in all seasons, a perfect hide-away, the place is huge. Guests very seldom bump into each other but if they do, they most probably have met a like-minded soul.
