If you prefer to relax at home, you can take in the views from the salt water swimming pool and heated jacuzzi on the patio. Then, after a relaxing barbeque, you can just sit and enjoy the unrivalled sunset over the lake.

Location & area

The Beiras is an area of contrasts, both ancient and modern with villages perched on mountain outcrops and endlessly appealing views of terraced olive groves and cool forest streams.



The villa is situated 7km from Arganil and is a 2 hour drive from Porto and 3 hours from Lisbon.



Both Porto and Lisbon are well served by airlines flying from a number of British airports.

Amenities & services

The villa comprises 1 double bedroom (with ensuite shower room) 1 twin bedroom (which can be converted into a kingsize bed) with a separate bathroom. A large lounge with wood burner can be used as a double bedroom using the double sofa bed. A cot and high chair are supplied.

We have a very large farmhouse kitchen/dining room which seats up to 10 persons comfortably.

The upper level of the villa is open plan and can be converted into a sleeping area for up to 4 persons with clothes hanging facilities.

Both floors have shaded balconies with lake views.

The property will be cleaned once a week

Electricity and gas for hot water and cooking is included in the rental price.

The kitchen is fully equipped - all breakages to be paid at appropriate replacement cost

Fresh bed linen and towels will be supplied once a week. Please note that house towels are not to be used for the pool and/or taken from the property. Please bring your own swimming towels

The double en suite bedroom, twin bedroom and lounge (if used as bedroom) are supplied with cotton bathrobes for adults

There is no telephone supplied other than for emergency use

We have Sky Satellite and Cabo Satellite (Portuguese) together with Playstation One and a video player. Clients are welcome to use the stereo on the upper level and the portable CD/tape/radio player in the kitchen.

The owners will be on site for the majority of your stay although we live in a separate building shielded from view from the property. This means that you can enjoy your stay without intrusion but we are "on hand" if required.
