Overview
Nestled between the dramatic sheer cliffs of the Atlantic coastline the Turquoise coves of the Mediterranean sea and the hills of Monchique you'll find the quaint village of Bordeira.
Dating back to the 18th Century, the house is rests in a peaceful village of 45 inhabitants. It was rebuilt after the "Great Lisbon Earthquake" which also destroyed most of the West Coast of Portugal.
The house has kept elements of its traditional Portuguese heritage with whitewashed mudbrick and stone walls, and terracotta tile floors and roof, typical of the area.
In the heat of summer, the interior spaces offer a cool respite from the outdoors.
High ceilings and large living spaces create comfortable socialising areas inside, whilst outside the ivy lined rear courtyard is also equipped with outdoor table, chairs and large umbrella.
