Overview

The quinta is a family run guesthouse, situated within a beautiful valley, listed in the Michelin guide and recommended by Alastair Sawday's 'Special places to stay'. The 5 hectares of beautifully landscaped grounds maintain many original features from the original farm. The cottages themselves are set in tranquil gardens with many varieties of fruit trees and shrubs, all overlooking the swimming pool. There is a bar/bistro by the pool where breakfast is served and meals prepared upon request, with fresh local ingredients. There is a swimming pool, tennis court, games room, sauna and an elegant function room, used for weddings and parties. There is wireless internet access available. The quinta is well situated, 20 minutes from Faro airport, close to the motorway, with easy access to the entire Algarve and even Spain. There are many local attractions and excellent restaurants. Many beautiful beaches nearby and several golf courses.

A great place for spending quality time with your loved ones; something for everybody to do, every day. I am a golfer, so mornings were out on the fabulous local courses, my wife tried mosaic, pilates, painting, art and even had some singing lessons. The kids were in their element, out in the gardens, on the swings, trampolines, playing tennis and table tennis and they even went in the pool with the owners children (a real delight to mix with). We ate in the Bistro every lunch time and most evenings and had a great mix of English and Portuguese food, with an occasional curry! The staff were a great help and the Portuguese Chef was very flexible with our special requests. All this at a great price because we booked directly with the owners via their website.
