Overview

1 Bedroom second floor apartment, 300 mts from Alvor beach - available all year round!
The apartment has one bedroom with two single beds, and a double sofa bed in the living room, allowing up to 4 persons to sleep comfortably. It is well presented with modern furnishings, and air conditioning / heating is included in the price. The apartment is fully equipped with washing machine, oven, microwave, TV, and DVD player, and is located on the 2nd (top) floor, accessible via a lift if required. It has a sea view from the kitchen and from the balcony, and overlooks the two private pools. There is underground reserved parking space as well as plenty of external parking within the secure area of the apartment block. It is situated in one of the better locations in the area, with no other buildings between it and the sea. Cleaning / laundry provided weekly. The apartment can be rented All year round ..... located 300 metres from the Beach and Harbour, and the historical centre of Alvor village. With easy access to top Golf Courses(3 kms), and to Portimao (5 kms).

* Payment is normally in Sterling and only in Euros if agreed by the owner.
* A Deposit of 30% is required at time of Booking to Confirm Reservation, with the balance of 70% to be paid 8 weeks before arrival, unless by prior agreement. Payment is by transfer directly to the owners bank account.
Check-In is after 15.00 hrs on Arrival Day, and Check-Out is by 12.00 hrs on Departure Day. We reserve the right to Refuse any Reservation requests at our own discretion.

Location & area

The location is the fishing village of Alvor, located in the Western Algarve, between Portimao to the east and Lagos to the west. It is approximately 50 inutes from the airport at Faro, with a good connecting motorway for most of the journey. We can always arrange for you a Two Way private "Airport Transfer" Service, which is well worth doing, and means you will Not have to worry about a thing!


It is a fishing village adjacent to a natural lagoon at the River Alvor estuary, which runs in to the Atlantic Ocean only a few hundred meters away. Generally it is not as busy as many other more touristy coastal resorts in the Algarve, and much of the land near the village is protected from being built on as it is ecologically rich. Presumably this is one reason why the land and property value in Alvor tends to be higher than other surrounding areas. The unspoilt nature of the area is no doubt another reason.


The huge size of the beach and the relatively small size of the village and few adjacent hotels mean that it is not as busy as many other areas on the Algarve coast. At quieter times of the year, even though the weather is likely to be pleasantly warm, the 4km beach (shown above) is as good as your own.


The main shopping and eating areas are within easy reach on foot. There are lively bars if you wish to go a little crazy, which are generally open all year round. However, apart from the peak months, overall this is a peaceful location. There is a small marina and harbour within 400m of the apartment, from which the local fishermen are based, with a wide promenade where most of the boat trips start. It is very easy to find any number of quiet spots only a few minutes from the village, in beautiful surroundings, especially overlooking
