The house is situated in the delightful village of Poreba Wielka with the nearest town being Mszana Dolna which has a variety of shops and a few restaurants.
The Gorcanski National Park borders the house and within easy reach is the Tatra and Pieninski National Parks the latter having a picturesque raft ride down the river lasting some two hours.
Krakow, Zakopane, and Krynica are all within easy driving distance as well as several places to visit including Auschwitz and the incredibly large Wieliczka Salt Mine.
In Winter there are many Ski slopes also within easy reach.
