We welcome all those who enjoy the water and the land. Take in the vast, undisturbed wilderness. Come and discover special places with so many natural features. Whether on your own or on a guided tour, adventure awaits you!
Seiland Explore is based in the town of Honseby, which is a short 45 minute trip from Hammerfest via car and ferry. We have much to offer including such activities as Hiking, Glacier Treks, Fishing, Boating, Snowmobiling and Hunting. We can provide all the necessary equipment you may need to make your stay an enjoyable one. At Seiland Explore we have apartments for rent that can comfortably accomodate 6-8 persons. These units are equipped with all the necessary appliances and conveniences for a short visit or a longer term stay. You can also find groceries, maps, petrol/marine diesel and other supplies at our well-stocked general store.
Cast a fishing line and test your skills. Seiland offers fantastic fishing in the sea or on one of the many pristine mountain lakes during the summer or the winter. We have two, 20-foot boats for hire. They are equipped with electronic Fish Finders, navigation equipment and all the necessary safety gear. We can also provide Deep Sea fishing tackle if required. In addition to Deep Sea and Ocean Salmon fishing we can also assist you in arranging guided fjord cruises and bird-watching day trips. In fact, a thriving bird colony is only a short 15 minute boat ride from Honseby. (Best viewed from March through to September) We also have Snowmobiles available for rental. Take an exhilirating ride along our marked trails or head up to a mountain lake for some ice-fishing. Seiland has some excellent
hunting areas for Hare and grouse as well. We would also be more than happy to arrange sea-side grill parties for groups as large as 25 persons. Whether you choose to come for an afternoon picnic or a more extended stay, your visit is sure to be a delightful one.
Seiland offers many opportunities for leisure. A unique mixture of natural contrast and wonderous adventures. Come enjoy nature's simple pleasures. Hike along trails travelled by countless reindeer, fish under the light of the Midnight Sun or watch the magical Aurora Borealis dance across the sky. Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
