There are many cozy café's, restaurants, specialty shops, and boutiques close at hand. This district hosts quite a few colorful local markets on a weekly basis. It is located in the northern side of the Jordaan district. The Haarlemmerstraat is the closest cross street, a few steps away, this street was awarded best shopping street of the Netherlands in 2007 because of its many specialized and unique boutique shops.
