Overview
Canal View is a distinctive 300 year-old large studio apartment in the centre of the old town, in one of the most charming neighbourhoods of Amsterdam. This lovely apartment has a very tasteful interior and a view of the Singel (one of the famous Amsterdam's canal) and of the Lutheran Church. There is a private entrance from the street and there is the possibility to sit outside on sunny days. It is located in the historic Grachtengordel (canal ring) of Amsterdam. During the Golden Age, the wealthy merchants built their houses in this part of town and the canals allowed them to move their merchandise in and out the city by boat. The canals also protected the city and its inhabitants. You can still feel the presence of the spice traders of the East India Company. A replica of an old trading-ship can be visited at the nearby naval museum. Rembrandt, Van Gogh and Anne Frank all left their mark on this city. From this central location, all museums are within walking distance with easy tram and bus connections. It is only five minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station. The local shopping is varied, whether the specialist stores of the nearby Nine Streets or the trendy boutiques on the adjacent Haarlemmerstraat. This apartment features a large living room with a lovely green sofa, table with 3 chairs, a comfortable double bed with a carved wooden white wardrobe, fully semi-open equipped kitchen at the back, separate bathroom with bath and shower, free internet connection, Telephone, TV, Radio/CD, Microwave, Dishwasher, Oven, Safe.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
