It is located in the northern side of the Jordaan district. The Haarlemmerdijk is the closest cross street, a few steps away, this street was awarded best shopping street of the Netherlands in 2007 because of its many specialized and unique boutique shops. The Brouwersgracht is the other cross street and was named several times as the best street (canal) to live at. This area is known for its relaxed atmosphere and lively streets, where many of its residents will sit on their porch on a sunny day.
