Overview

Il-Mithna is a 400 year old mill converted into a house of character, keeping all the characteristics of it original features. The mill room is now converted in a large open space, kitchen dining and living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the facilities oven, hob, microwave oven, fridge freezer, electric kettle and toaster. There is the dining area fit for 8 persons and the sitting area is equipped with very comfy sofas with TV, DVD facilities and working desk. On the ground floor you will find one of the bathrooms and there is also a patio with some garden furniture. On the 1st floor there is a balcony overlooking the patio. There is a double bedroom, one twin room and a triple room with bathroom ensuit. There is also a spare bed available and also another common bathroom on this floor. On the roof you have a washroom with washing machine and drying facilites and another spare kitchenette with fridge freezer and spare toilet. On the large terrace you will find a barbeque to be used with charcoal. On the terrace you have got all the garden furniture such as deck chairs and table & chairs. And for relaxing you will find a large 8 person jacuzzi, which is also heated.

Location & area

Il- Mithna is situated in the Village of Xewkija which is almost in the middle of the Island of Gozo. This makes is close to everywhere since the island is just 4 miles by 9 miles. The farmhouse is just 1.5km from the closest beach which is called Mgarr Ix-Xini. It is a beautiful unspoilt beach with just a couple of boat houses and a nice little restaurant. Xewkija is just 25min walk from Victoria which is the main town where you will find the citadell and all the museums, the market and also the shopping centres.



The other village next to Xewkija is Xaghra where one can find other attractions such as the oldest standing temple in the world, Calypso cave and other places of interest. In Xewkija there is a diving centre, restaurants, and bars. Just 1 min walk away from the farmhouse one can find the finest bakery and several grocers and butchers. Xewkija is a nice place where to go for nice walks to Mgarr ix-Xini or even to the ta' Cenc Cliffs where one can see the prehistoric cartrats and dolmens.
