Mario Apartment 1 is ideal for families or for 1/2 couples who would like to get to know Verona, the Valpolicella area and visit Lake Garda (Gardaland, Caneva World) while living in a small traditional Italian town with great facilities and wonderful restaurants, surrounded by vineyards with beautiful views of the nearby hill towns.
The apartment has 2 bedrooms and an open plan kitchen/dining/living area with a sofa bed.

Location & area

Negrar is a traditional old town in a beautiful valley in the Valpolicella area. The town centre is five minutes' walk from the apartment, and is famous for its pizzerias and restaurants. The area is known for the production of Valpolicella wine, including top of the market Amarone, Ripasso and Recioto, and Mario will be happy to organise tours of the vineyards with wine tasting on request.

Negrar is 12 km from Verona and 25 km from Lake Garda. It is an excellent base for holidays whatever your tastes, swimming in the lake or in many of the nearby swimming pools, walks in the hills, wine tasting and wonderful restaurants, music and opera, museums and churches and visits to Venice, Padua, Mantua, Rovereto, Trento and Bolzano. Gardaland (22km) is the most popular theme park in Italy with entertainment for all ages.

The Lessinia mountains are just north of Negrar. Ponte di Veja is Europe's largest natural bridge and the Molina Waterfall Park is a great day out for the family. Marble is produced and cut locally and the old marble and stone quarries are well worth visiting. If you enjoy walking or horse-riding, Mario will be delighted to share his local knowledge.
