Location & area

The train station is a little minute walk(800mt from Mariashouse). The passenger and car ferries are also minutes away, reaching the exquisite villages, gardens and villas that dot the lakeshore. From Varenna's central position one can easily get to all other locations on the lake, such as Menaggio and Bellagio, the most elegant and international town of the Lake of Como, located just between the two branches of the lake. The lake of Como itself and the nearby area offer the best in skiing, windsurfing, hiking and bicycling. Maria's House is available 12 months of the year, and rates are seasonal.
